Hyderabad: A woman working at a dental and skin clinic in Hyderabad flushed a diamond ring down the toilet out of fear of being caught for stealing it. The ring was worth Rs 50 lakh. The theft of the ring from a dentist office in exclusive Jubilee Hills was being investigated by authorities in Hyderabad when the event was discovered. Police claim that on June 27, the daughter-in-law of one Narendra Kumar Agarwal went to the clinic for a checkup. The woman removed her diamond ring from her finger and placed it on the side table during the examination. However, when she left the clinic after the check-up and neglected to take it.
Woman Discovers Missing Ring, Leading to an Unexpected Confession
The woman rushed to the clinic after realising she had forgotten to bring her ring back after leaving for home. However, she was unable to locate the ring, and her enquiries to the clinic staff were unsuccessful. After that, Narendra Kumar complained to the Jubilee Hills police department. Police started questioning the personnel and looking over the CCTV footage as part of the inquiry. One of the employees at the clinic informed the detectives that she flushed the ring that had been placed in her purse by someone else and was wrapped in tissue paper.
Woman’s Desperate Flush Lands Her in Custody as Stolen Ring is Recovered
The ring was found in the piping connecting the toilet by the police with the aid of a plumber. Police have taken the woman into custody and are interrogating her. She may have picked up the ring from the table, but when the police began their inquiry, she may have became anxious. She flushed it down the toilet out of fear of being found.
