Ghaziabad News: On directives from the government, the Hastinapur, Baghpat, and Ghaziabad districts of Meerut district have been placed on high alert over the flood scenario. ADM Finance Suryakant Tripathi and SDM Mawana Akhilesh Yadav spent the entire day conducting an inventory of the Hastinapur flood-affected area as per the DM’s directives. Additionally, Commissioner Selva Kumari obtained information from the administrators of each district in the circle, particularly those in Baghpat and Ghaziabad. Mahendra Prasad, an additional commissioner, stated that the circumstance is continually being watched. Ten individuals from Badhwa hamlet on the other side of the Ganga have been saved thanks to the SDRF team that was sent to Hastinapur.
Dam Breach Leads to Widespread Waterlogging
Suryakant Tripathi, ADM Finance and District Disaster Management Officer, stated that waterlogging has become a problem as a result of the dam breaching on the right bank of the Ganges near the village of Fatehpur Prem. Along with SDM Mawana and the revenue team, I visited the flood-affected areas as directed by the DM. The link road to Haripur, Bhagupugur, Parsapur, Hansapur, Shirjepur, Dabkhedi, Fatehpur Prem, Rathora Kalo, Hadipur Gawdi, Latifpur, Kishanpur Khadar, and the fields were discovered to be flooded.
Rescue Efforts Initiated for Affected Villages
At the time of inspection on the connection road going to Kund, Kunheda, Bamnauli, and Rustampur were not discovered to be waterlogged either. The settlements of Sherpur, Bahawalpur, Gokalpur, and Rupda are uninhabited. The residents said that the fields are flooded. not in a neighbourhood. The road from Fatehpur Prem to Kishanpur Khadar, where the inspection was conducted by tractor, was flooded. Water had gotten to the village’s three or four houses’ main gates. He asserted that people were staying in their homes because of the dense residential neighbourhood. In the village of Kishanpur Khadar, there is a Gurugudwara with a langar. On receiving the information, a team of SDRF was immediately sent and a total of 10 people, five men, two women and three children, were rescued from Badhwa village located on the other side of river Ganga.
