Dombivli Fire: A devastating boiler blast in Dombivli has caused significant damage, affecting several neighboring factories and residential properties. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde addressed the incident, highlighting the gravity of the situation and outlining the government’s response.
CM Eknath Shinde Orders Relocation of Hazardous Factories, Announces Compensation
“The intensity of the blast was very high. Six to seven neighboring factories have been damaged, and residential properties have also suffered,” said CM Shinde. In light of the incident, the government has decided to take stringent measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
“Highly hazardous companies such as this, which fall under the Red category, will be shifted to non-residential areas,” CM Shinde announced. The decision aims to enhance safety and reduce risks to residential communities.
A high-level inquiry has been ordered to investigate the blast. “An investigation will be carried out against the accused, and no one will be spared,” assured CM Shinde.
The state government has pledged financial support to the families of the victims. “The kin of the deceased will be given Rs 5 lakh each by the state government. The administration will sponsor the treatment of the injured,” CM Shinde confirmed. Additionally, the company responsible for the blast has committed to compensating its employees affected by the incident.
This incident underscores the urgent need for stringent safety protocols and the relocation of hazardous industries away from populated areas to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
