DU Election Result: BJP Praises ABVP’s DUSU Victory, Win Heralds ‘National Interest First’

DU Election Result: In the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election on Saturday, the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three of the four central panel posts, securing a commanding victory. After voting for the positions of president, vice-president, secretary, and joint secretary of the DUSU’s central panel was completed on Saturday night, the RSS-affiliated student body was declared the winner.

ABVP’s Victory Upholds ‘National Interest First’ Philosophy

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, and other Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders praised ABVP’s success in the crucial student body elections. According to Shah, ABVP’s success shows that the younger generation adheres to the philosophy of putting “national interest first.” “I have full confidence that the workers of the Council will continue to work with determination to keep the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and the spirit of nationalism alive among the youth,” Shah tweeted.

Rajnath Singh Applauds ABVP

Rajnath Singh, the defence minister for the union, also praised the ABVP. He tweeted, “ABVP’s success indicates that the youth of the country are committed towards building a strong and developed India. Congratulations again to the student council workers.” The National Students Union (NSUI), on the other side, lost several jobs, prompting Union Minister Kiren Rijiju to criticise Congress. Rijiju tweeted, “Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Delhi University Students Union Election which helped ABVP to increase it’s vote share.” Results of the DUSU elections, which were held on Friday, September 22, were announced today. For the four open positions, there were twenty-four people running.

Aparajita and Sachin Baisla Secure Secretary and Joint Secretary Roles for ABVP

Tushar Dedha of the ABVP defeated Hitesh Gulia of the National Students Union (NSUI) to become the new DUSU President. Aparajita and Sachin Baisla of the ABVP easily secured the positions of Secretary and Joint Secretary, respectively. While Congress-affiliated NSUI’s Yakshana Sharma was beaten by Aparajita by a margin of 12,937 votes, Shubham Kumar Chaudhary was defeated by Baisla by a margin of 9,995 votes. Abhi Dahiya, who works for NSUI, was elected vice president. With 22,331 votes, he defeated Sushant Dhankar of the ABVP by a margin of 1,829 votes.
