Karnataka Election 2023: DK Shivakumar, the leader of the Congress, broke down today as counting trends pointed to a significant victory for his party in Karnataka. According to Shivakumar, “I assured Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge that I will deliver Karnataka. I can’t forget Sonia Gandhi coming to meet me in jail,” said Shivakumar.

The head of the Karnataka Congress, who is vying for the position of Chief Minister, declared: ‘The Congress office is our shrine. Our next course of action will be decided at the Congress office.’ He said, ‘I thank all the leaders in my state, especially Siddaramaiah.’ His primary opponent in the contest to become chief minister is 75-year-old Siddaramaiah.

A significant win for the Congress party. Karnataka’s citizens desired change. Siddaramaiah stated, ‘This is a mandate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Within a little more than two hours of counting, the Congress has reached the halfway point in Karnataka. With a rise in its vote share, the party aspires to win at least 120 seats. The Janta Dal Secular (JDS) appeared to have suffered while the party appeared to have gained significantly. The incumbent BJP admitted loss and declared it will run again in the Lok Sabha elections the following year.’
