Experience the Vibrant Colour, ‘Rangla Punjab’ Festival to Showcase Culture and Heritage

Punjab News: To highlight the state’s rich legacy and culture, the government will hold heritage fairs and festivals throughout the year in various regions of the state. Anmol Gagan Mann, the minister of tourism and cultural affairs, provided the information today at a press conference in this location.

Festivals in the ‘Rangla Punjab’ Series and Government Allocation of Funds

According to Maan, this will assist promote the tourism industry and draw in more visitors. She stated that “Rangla Punjab” is the term given to a number of fairs and festivals. Throughout the year, up to 22 fairs will be conducted, starting with the Dhiyan Festival in Sangrur from August 18–20. The Maghi Festival at Muktsar, Basant Festival at Ferozepur, Kapurthala Heritage Festival, Kila Raipur Rural Olympics, Baisakhi fair in Bathinda, Patiala Heritage Festival, and Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib, according to Maan, will all be organised. Other festivals include the Inqlab Festival in September at Khatkar Kalan, the Doon Festival in October at Mansa, the Punjab Handicraft Festival in November at Fazilka, the Equestrian Fair in November at Jalandhar, the Military Literature Festival in Chandigarh, the Rivers Fair in September at Pathankot, and the Sufi Festival in October at Malerkotla. 65 crore rupees have been set out by the government to organise these festivities.

Showcasing Punjabi Culture to International Visitors

Since Amritsar receives the most international visitors, the Rangla Punjab festival, which will feature all facets of Punjabi culture and include participation from writers and poets, will take place there in January.
