Udyan Express: At Bengaluru’s Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) railway station this morning, a fire started in the Udyan Express train. Fire engines were dispatched right away to the area and they got to work putting out the flames. The final stop on this train’s route from Mumbai to Bangalore is KSR Railway Station. According to the South-Western Railway, the fire incident happened two hours after the passengers disembarked the train, as reported by ANI. The accident did not result in any fatalities or injuries. Firefighters and specialists arrived at the scene and are assessing the situation.
Smoke Erupts from Udyan Express Coaches at KSR Station
On Saturday, August 19, at 5.45 am, train number 11301 Udyan Express, which left from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, arrived at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru. Around 7:10 o’clock, smoke could be observed coming from the train’s coaches B-1 and B-2. The fire brigade was informed right away. The fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene as soon as they received the information and put out the fire. What started the train fire is still unknown. Investigative work is being done by railway officials.
Another Train Fire Adds to Recent Incidents
This is the second time this week that a train has caught fire. At the Jamalpur railway station earlier on Wednesday, August 16, a tanker transporting crude oil from Munger to Kiul caught fire. The fire was carefully contained by the fire brigade personnel in time, and it was put out before any serious accidents occurred. The incident did not result in any casualties. It was said that sparking caused the train’s tanker to catch fire.
