Odisha: A pigeon with what looked to be a camera and a microchip attached to its leg was seized from a fishing boat off the coast of Paradip in the Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha on Wednesday. On the bird’s wings, there was allegedly additional writing in an unidentified language. The cops believe the bird was being employed as a snoop.

Mystery surrounding pigeon with camera and microchip deepens
“We will produce the pigeon with all the evidence before a cyber expert to find out the truth,” Paradip ASP, Nimai Charan Sethi stated. The pigeon was discovered on the fishing trawler, according to Pitambar Behera, a crew member, around 10 days ago when it was anchored about 35 kilometres off the coast of Konark. “All of a sudden, I became aware that the bird’s legs were holding some instruments. Also, I discovered that its wings have writing on them. If that wasn’t Odia, I could understand,” Behera remarked.
