Atiq Ahmed: Opposition politicians turned their guns on the Yogi Adityanath administration hours after incarcerated gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, in front of the police, on camera. The murders of the pair in broad daylight, according to former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, demonstrated that crime was at an all-time high in the large state.
Asaduddin Owaisi criticised Yogi Adityanath Government
Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, also criticised Yogi Adityanath’s administration, claiming that “their murder is a perfect example of Yogi’s big failure of law and order.” In relation to the killings of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, three persons have been detained. For a court hearing, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf were brought to Prayagraj. Akhilesh Yadav posted the following on his Twitter account, “Crime has reached its height in UP and the morale of criminals is strong. What about the protection of the general population if someone can be killed by open fire in the middle of a police security perimeter? As a result, the population is becoming increasingly fearful. It appears that some individuals are purposefully fostering this environment.”
Atiq Ahmed was found guilty in the kidnapping of Umesh Pal
Asaduddin Owaisi, a Hyderabad-based member of parliament, asserted that the murder was also the fault of those who were celebrating encounter-raj. Atiq Ahmed was recently found guilty of abducting Umesh Pal. Additionally, he was accused of killing Umesh Pal. Umesh Pal and his two police security guards were shot and killed outside his Dhoomanganj residence on February 24. In the murder trial of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal, Umesh Pal was a key witness.
