Ghaziabad News: 57 young children who were employed in a Ghaziabad slaughterhouse have been let free. Authorities from the National Child Rights Protection, an NGO, and the police worked together to save all of the kids.
Forced Labor and Transportation
These rescued kids were being forced to labor and were being transported from West Bengal and Bihar. These comprise 26 released minor boys and 31 freed minor girls. The families of these kids weren’t in a favorable financial situation. Jobs at Ghaziabad were offered to them. These kids were later taken to International Agro Foods and given jobs. The young children were not previously informed about this work.
Police Search for Perpetrators
In order to take action against them, the police have begun searching for the individuals who brought them from their states. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi, has received a complaint alleging that roughly forty minors from West Bengal and Bihar were made to work inhumane hours in a slaughterhouse located in Ghaziabad. This was the subject of a complaint filed with the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate.
The National Child Protection officials provided the police with information, and the police responded by organizing a rescue operation. A total of 57 minors—31 girls and 26 boys—have been safely rescued throughout this operation. Allow us to inform you that International Agro Foods specializes in the processing, freezing, and export of meat. This company also supplies goods in bulk to other countries. The police are getting ready to file a complaint under the Child Protection Act in order to take action against them.
