Ghaziabad News: As Dengue cases spike in the city, many patients are unable to get beds in the hospitals. The beds in the Government Hospitals are all full so the patients are turning towards the private hospitals for treatment. Many patients are facing difficulties in getting beds in the emergency wards also. More than 400 cases of Dengue patients are reported in the city. The beds in the MMG hospital is full since the last one week. The Hospital has over 162 beds and 15 beds in the emergency ward and all the beds are occupied since last week.
Some Patients are treated on the Stretcher
The CMO of the Hospital says that they have been receiving cases of dengue and many other illness also, but since dengue patients hold the maximum space in the wards, they are running out of beds. Dengue patients are being kept for 1-2 days and then they are sent back considering their condition. Some patients are being treated on the stretcher only due to lack of space.
Authorities running Campaigns to Prevent Dengue
Municipal administration is using Fogging machines and campaigns to clean all the wards to prevent the spread of dengue and malaria. People are being advised not to store stagnant water and use anti mosquito sprays inside houses.
