Ghaziabad News: The Roadways Transport of the city will be giving free rides to the women as an Independence Day gift. The women won’t be charged in the Roadways buses if they travel in these buses on the Independence Day. The buses are usually crowded during Festivals, and the women face difficulties in reaching home on independence day when the buses are crowded. Keeping this view in consideration, the authorities have decided to give free rides to women on Independence day. All arrangements are being made for the big day to accommodate the women for the free ride.
Service will begin from 29th and will continue till 30th
The transport authorities are also considering about the safety of women in the buses. The authorities provide this facility for the women every year. This year also the service will start from the 29th night and will be continued till 30th August. The Department is also making sure that the Non-functional buses should be repaired and fixed so that there won’t be any shortage of buses during that time.
Over 180 Buses will run from Sahibabad Depot
Over 162 buses will run from the kaushambi Depot, 58 buses from the Ghaziabad Depot and 180 from the Sahibabad depot. The Department is also considering the option of increase the frequency of the buses so that women shouldn’t face any problems.
