Ghaziabad News: Seventy-five percent of the Noida International Airport in Jewar is under construction. In view of this, a new route connecting the airport to quick rail will be established, leaving from Ghaziabad instead of Delhi, offering direct and swift connectivity.

NCRTC’s Strategic Role

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has been tasked with creating a new route through the Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) in Ghaziabad by drafting the DPR over the course of the next two months. According to reports, this Rs 16,000 crore project will be completed in two phases. This high-speed networking project is scheduled to go live in 2031.

Financial Framework

This 71.1 km corridor’s construction is expected to cost roughly Rs 16,000 crores. Phase 1 will use roughly Rs 9,000 crore, while Phase 2 will use the remaining amount. The state government, the federal government, and the district’s three authorities will all spend this money.

Elevated Corridor Design

The Ghaziabad RRTS will be connected by rapid rail to the Noida International Airport in Jewar through the construction of a 71.1 km line. This elevated route, which is exclusively intended for elevated travel, will have eleven stations. Along this route are the following places: Ghaziabad RRTS, Ghaziabad South, Knowledge Park-5, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech-6, Dankaur, Yida North (Sector-18), YEIDA Central (Sector-21, 35), Noida International Airport (Jewar).

Know Phases

Phase 1: After Ghaziabad RRTS, Ghaziabad South will be the first new station. The construction of seven stations in the first phase is scheduled to follow, including Knowledge Park-5, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech-6, Greater Noida West (Sector-4), and Greater Noida (Sector 2).

Phase 2: Subsequently, four stations are to be built at Dankaur, Yida North (Sector-18), Yida Central (Sector-21, 35), and Noida International Airport (Jewar) as part of the second phase.

Countdown to Takeoff

We would like to notify you that the Noida International Airport, located in Jewar, is expected to begin operations in 2024. The fact that more than 75% of the project’s work has already been finished shows how swiftly it is being finished. The final week of February is when the trial is scheduled to begin.
