Ghaziabad News: In some Good News for the commuters of Noida and Ghaziabad, the Ghaziabad Development Authority will soon start the Metro line which will benefit thousands of commuters. The Metro line will begin from Noida sector-62 till Ghaziabad. GDA has already started working on the project. The proposal will be first sent to the Board and then the authority will prepare a DPR. The administration will have to wait for the Board’s approval for further progress. Currently, GDA is working to connect the Red and Blue lines of Metro.
The Project will cost over 3325 crores
The Proposal was to build a Metro line from Noida sector-62 to Vaishali to Mohan Nagar. The whole project will cost around 3325 crores. The GDA officials are planning to work on one route instead of two routes. According to the GDA officials, they are focusing on the metro line from Noida sector-62 to Sahibabad. GDA also held a meeting with the DMRC officials to discuss the project. Now they are only waiting for the Board’s approval. The same metro line will be later linked to the Rapidx line if everything goes smoothly. This move will benefit commuters of the RapidX line who want to catch the metro line, they can board the metro after getting down from RapidX.
GDA planning to prepare DPR for the Noida-Sahibabad Line
Meanwhile, GDA is planning to prepare a DPR for the Noida to Sahibabad line. Earlier the project was costing around 1517 crores, but as the authority is planning to expand the project, the cost might go up. GDA is already struggling for funds to complete the project. GDA requested for funds from the UP Govt but the govt gave funds for the Agra Metro Project.
