Ghaziabad News: Following the first phase of the Namo Bharat train‘s operation, the trial run for the subsequent section has now begun. On Sunday, the Namo Bharat train made a trial run from Duhai to Modi Nagar South station. An important first step towards operationalizing this section is this trial run. The OHE with a capacity of 25,000 KV was initially charged in this trial run process from Muradnagar Receiving Sub Station to Modi Nagar South. The train was then operated in this section. The Namo Bharat train left High Station, arrived at Muradnagar station, and then travelled another roughly 12 km to Modi Nagar South.
Testing Phase Commences
During the trial run, Namo Bharat trains are being tested on the track. Under the supervision of the control management team, the train is run manually. The train was being moved very slowly during this time from Muradnagar station to Modi Nagar South. It picked up a little more speed on the way back and brought Duhai back.
First Phase Public Access
The portion of the RRTS corridor that will be open to the public following the first phase is the 25 km stretch that runs from Duhai to the Meerut South RRTS station. This section contains the following 4 stations: Muradnagar, Modi Nagar North, Modinagar South, and Meerut South.
New Phase Commencement
The Prime Minister signalled the start of the Namo Bharat train on October 20, 2023, in the 17-kilometer priority section between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot. The Namo Bharat train trial has now begun on a new section outside of Duhai.
