Ghaziabad News: The local government anticipates opening the facility to the public by August, far ahead of its March 2024 deadline, after 55 percent of the construction on the Rs 41 crore multi-level parking near Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) metro station has been completed.
Ghaziabad’s Multi-Level Parking Nears Completion
The five-story parking structure, which is close to the Ghaziabad RapidX and Shaheed Sthal metro stations on the DMRC’s Red Line and priority part of the 17-km RRTS, can hold 542 two-wheelers and 200 four-wheelers and is intended to alleviate parking issues on the now-clogged Meerut Road According to NK Choudhary, chief engineer of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, “the civil work on multi-level parking is over and we are now proceeding with electrification and other work and overall 55% of the work is complete.” “Although the final deadline is March 2024, we anticipate finishing the remaining work by August.” Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, evaluated the MLP’s progress in August of last year when visiting Ghaziabad. The state is providing funding for the project, which will take up 5,763 square metres, as part of the state smart city project.

UP Jal Nigam’s Project Gains Government Approval
The project was given government approval in November 2021, and the construction wing of UP Jal Nigam—the construction wing—prepared a full project report. 200 four-wheelers and almost 550 two-wheelers can fit in the parking lot. It will immediately benefit the Shaheed Sthal New Bus Adda metro station and the planned Ghaziabad RapdX station, which is anticipated to have high foot traffic,” Choudhary remarked.
