Ghaziabad News: NCRTC introduces special escalators for passengers traveling through the Delhi Meerut RRTS Underground section. The escalators are being installed at the Bhainsali Station first. As the work of slab casting of the concourse level finishes, the installation process will soon begin in the other two stations of the RRTS Underground section which are Begampur and Meerut Central. These specially designed escalators will save electricity and they are made using advanced and modern technology. They have been designed by the company of Maharashtra which is called Shindler India Private Limited.
Let’s take a look at the special features of the Escalators-
The escalators will have a skirt guard which will prevent clothes from being stuck in the side penal and in the middle.
Escalators will have Fingure guards to protect the hands of the passengers while walking
To save the passengers in an emergency situation during technical snags, special devices have been launched like anti reversal devices, drive chain broken devices, handrail broken devices, escalator over speed devices, step sag, step broken devices, and Hand Rail Monitoring devices. The escalators
The escalators will have V-shape handles in order to give the passengers a firm grip while holding.
There will be a special yellow line and light which will help while boarding and deboarding
There will be special mirrors installed at the paid areas and stainless steel mirrors will be installed in the Non-Paid areas.
Emergency Switches installed for the Safety of Passengers
There will be emergency stop switches installed for the safety of the passengers. Apart from these other elaborate arrangements are being made for the passengers like installing ACS, repairing washrooms, display boards with audio video facilities, CCTVs, Fire Extinguishers, etc.
