Ghaziabad News: In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, near Delhi, at Maliwada Chowk, the renowned Saiyan Ji Puri Wale Ghaziabad has been busted by the State Tax Department for tax evasion of Rs 17.85 lakh. After using AI techniques to monitor the establishment for around a month, the GST team raided and investigated the shop and dwelling on Thursday.
Issuance of SOP for Examination
According to State Tax Department Additional Commissioner Grade-1 Dinesh Kumar Mishra, a SOP has been issued for the examination of the compound scheme. SOP guidelines and artificial intelligence methods were used to designate the Maliwada-based company Saiya Ji Puri Wale for further examination. Following a month-long examination, it was discovered that Saiya Ji Puri Wale was operating outside of the guidelines established by the compound scheme.
Following data analysis on the GST site, the department’s special investigative branch surveilled the company. SIB raided the company in response to the shortcomings in the data analysis. Eight police officers performed a raid and investigation at Saiyyaji Puri Wali’s firm on Thursday. The duration of this inquiry was roughly ten hours.
Discovery of Mixed Manufactured and Raw Materials
Investigations revealed that the company contained both manufactured and raw materials. As a result, the business was essentially running as a restaurant while registering as a food preparation business in order to avoid paying as much tax to the government under the pretense of the compound plan. Following the raid, the SIB team found evidence of Rs 17.85 lakh in tax evasion.
