Ghaziabad News: In bid to provide safety to the women of the city, Ministry of Women and Child Development launched 20 Pink Police booths and 20 Pink Police Mobiles under the safe city project being run by the Uttar Pradesh Government in the 18 Metropolitan cities including Lucknow. The booths were inaugurated by Minister of state for Road Transport and Civil Aviation Vijay Kumar Singh. Women Police officials will be deployed at all the Pink Police booths and Police Mobiles to provide assistance to the women.

Each Pink Booth will have 2 Rooms

The women police officials will perform their duties in 2 shifts, from 7am till 10pm. Each booth will have two rooms with one Toilet facility. All the rooms will be of 10by12 feet. Member of Parliament V K Singh also inaugurated 2 pink police booths and 4 wheeler pink mobile booths. He flagged off all 20 pink police booths and all 20 pink police mobile booths in Ghaziabad.

The initiative will help Women of all Age’

The event was attended by veterans from police department. With the launch of these Pink Booths, the city police aims to provide safe environment to the women and children of the city. The woman will be able to approach the women police officers in these booths in case of any emergency.
