Good News For Delhi Dehradun Expressway Users! Countdown Begins for the Next Phase, Second Phase Opening Revealed

Delhi Dehradun Expressway

Delhi Dehradun Expressway: The last week of March or the first week of April will see the opening of the second segment of the Delhi Dehradun Motorway. This section has ninety-five percent of its work completed. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has determined to start a trial run and load test during the first and second weeks of March, respectively. By May, the third segment of the motorway is expected to be operational.

Enhanced Travel Routes

The Eastern Peripheral at Khekra in Baghpat will be immediately connected to the Delhi-Meerut Motorway at Adhraksham following the opening of both of these phases. This will facilitate travel via Baghpat, Shamli, and the Eastern Peripheral from East Delhi to Sonipat, Haryana. A 16.60-kilometer motorway from Delhi’s Loni Border to Baghpat’s Khekra is being built as part of the second phase. Of this, the 12 km elevated corridor’s girder and pillar installation was finished a long time ago.

Countdown to Completion

Additionally, work on building roads is virtually finished. The remaining work will be finished in the next twenty days. The construction of a service road underneath the elevated corridor has also been completed. The goal is to finish building a drain in a 2.5-kilometer length by February 25. The work is now underway.

The first phase, spanning over 15.50 km, is now under construction. It begins near the Delhi-Meerut Motorway in Akshardham and continues via Shastri Park, Gandhi Nagar, to the UP border. This area is composed of around 95% elevated roads. For the elevated corridor section, eighty-five percent of the work is finished. We’ll finish off the remaining work by the end of March.

Motorway Check Up

The 210-kilometer motorway is subject to routine assessment. By March 31, three packages connecting Dehradun with Ganeshpur in Saharanpur will also be available. Although work is moving slowly between the Eastern Peripheral Motorway and Ganeshpur, they will open for traffic in April. This means that the motorway as a whole won’t be ready until November.
