New Pension Scheme: Under the New Pension Scheme (NPS), teachers and staff hired after 2004 at Allahabad University and its affiliated colleges will receive gratuities. Vice Chancellor Prof. made this choice on Saturday in North Hall. captured during the Executive Council meeting, which Sangeeta Srivastava presided over.
Gratuity Extension Benefits Teachers and Staff
According to PRO Prof. Jaya Kapoor, this will benefit over a thousand teachers and staff members at universities and colleges. The UGC has guided this decision-making process. Before, there was no gratuity offered to people enrolling in the new pension plan.
During the meeting, it was decided to confirm the two-year contracts of 25 CBCS, Statistics, and Psychology teachers as well as the one-year probationary period of 269 non-teaching staff members. Simultaneously, the Academic Council approved the proposal from the Examination Committee to modify the honorarium for work related to examinations.
Inquiry into Unfounded Complaint
Honoraria will now be awarded at higher rates. However, the PRO stated that the meeting decided to give Dr. Deepshikha Sonkar a show-cause notice regarding the filing of an unfounded complaint. The Vice Chancellor received flowers from Dr. Deepali Pant Joshi and Registrar Prof. NK Shukla.
Vice Chancellor Prof. presented a report on Sangeeta Srivastava’s work over the previous three and a half years during the meeting. There have been 320 teachers and 375 non-teachers appointed, and 127 non-teachers and 103 teachers have received promotions. Aside from this, the infrastructure, dorms, and buildings on campus were highlighted.
