G G Jasani, Superintendent of Police, Anand, told The Indian Express about the incident, “The bus was going from Mumbai to Rajasthan. In the middle lane of the expressway, it was brought to a halt to replace a punctured tyre when the speeding truck hit the bus from the rear.” This happened at around 4:45 am this morning.
Jasani added, “While two people, who were repairing the tyre, were killed due to the collision, the impact caused the bus to tilt and overturn, crushing at least three passengers, who were sitting on the divider. Eight others were rushed to the private hospital for treatment.”
