Gurugram News: In Gurugram’s Sector-47, a furniture market was devastated by a major fire, resulting in the destruction of at least 10 shops. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident. The fire broke out around 1.30 a.m., and despite the efforts of around a dozen fire tenders, it took four hours to completely extinguish the flames.
No Causality Reported
The fire was first noticed by a police rider in the area, but by the time the firefighters arrived, the entire market had already been engulfed. It is suspected that the fire originated from an electrical short circuit in one of the shops, though investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
The market’s rapid destruction was attributed to the presence of cylinders and furniture inside the shops, which fueled the flames. While the losses and damages are still being assessed, preliminary estimates suggest that the owners may be facing losses in crores of rupees. Thankfully, no casualties were reported during the incident.
