Gurugram News: Gurugram residents, beware, a major water supply disruption is going to hit city. GMDA declared that the Chandu Budhera Water Treatment Plant would be closed for scheduled maintenance, leading to a 36-hour discontinuation of water supply. This scheduled disconnection will start at 10:00 a.m. on August 5, 2024, and shall end at 10:00 p.m. on August 6, 2024.
Understanding the Essential Upkeep Activities Affecting Water Supply
The maintenance work includes the shifting of water supply pipeline at Bakhtawar Chowk, replacement of essential components, and requisite upkeep at Chandu Budhera plant. Water supply will remain completely closed in various areas of Gurugram during this period. Supply will be closed in Old Gurugram, Laxman Vihar, New Colony Booster, Chhoti Mata Booster, various sectors from 4 to 115, Boosting Station in Sector 51, and Village Badshahpur.
GMDA has appealed to the residents to make judicious use of water during the days preceding as well as during the disruption. The department has advised the public to make necessary provisions for water storage in advance to avoid inconvenience. The advisory emphasizes that adequate preparation has to be done in advance to meet day-to-day requirements during the interruption.
Preparing for the Short-Term Water Supply Cut Starting August 5
