Haryana News: The announcement of the dates for the ensuing elections by the Election Commission of India has brought high-voltage political activity in Haryana. For whatever reason, on August 31, the election schedule was revised whereby the Election Commission of India rescheduled the date of voting to October 5 with the counting of votes on October 8. Against that backdrop, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stormed into the center stage in Panipat, bursting with life, attending a session of the town hall with local businessmen and launching an unrestrained attack against the present Haryana government.

CM Mann Slams High Electricity Price in Haryana

During the speech, CM Mann raised issues concerning the state in different aspects. He specially blasted the Haryana government on its electricity prices and contrasted them with what is going on in Punjab, where 90 percent of its population enjoys free electricity. Mann wasted no time inviting the business community of Haryana to invest in Punjab, where he argued the environment is friendlier and supportive.

A Call to Support AAP in Haryana

The CM Mann took this opportunity to appeal directly to the voters to come out in large numbers on October 5th and support the Aam Aadmi Party. He presented AAP as the party of progress, with much priority given to education, electricity, employment, and health care. Mann highlighted the trip he had taken recently to Mumbai by which he was able to get commitments from big companies like Tata to set up operations in Punjab; he believed that this would increase employment in the state manifold. His message was clear: a vote for AAP is a vote for development and prosperity, precisely what his party promises to replicate the experience if elected to power in Haryana.
