Gita Mahotsav: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a meeting to review the preparations for Gita Jayanti and Tansen Mahotsav, directing officials to organize the events with active public participation and enthusiasm. The celebrations will begin the International Gita Mahotsav from December 8 to 11, 2024.

Highlighting the significance of the events, CM Yadav remarked that Lord Krishna received his education at Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain, which makes the celebration of Gita Jayanti at various locations across the state particularly meaningful. He emphasized innovative approaches to convey the essence of the Bhagavad Gita to citizens.

Grand Recital of the Gita
On December 11, a mass recital of the Bhagavad Gita will be held at Bhopal’s Motilal Nehru Stadium, featuring thousands of scholars. The event aims to surpass the previous record of 1,350 participants reciting the Gita together.
Exhibitions and Cultural Programs
Exhibitions showcasing themes related to cows, Govardhan, and the Bhagavad Gita will be organized. Prominent spiritual leaders, including Swami Saraswati from Dwarka Peeth, ISKCON representatives, and scholars from various countries, will participate in discussions and deliver lectures on December 10 and 11 in Ujjain.
Musical Performances
Renowned classical singer Kalapini Komkali will present Krishna bhajans on December 10, while Kumar Sharma and his team will offer a musical performance.
Book Launch and Motivational Talks
Motivational speaker Vivek Bindra will deliver a lecture on December 11, and several publications, including Shiv Gita, Ganesh Gita, and Ram Gita, will be launched. Tourists and devotees visiting Ujjain will receive copies of the Gita and Ramayana at designated accommodations.
