Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has embarked on a comprehensive repair and maintenance project for service roads spanning sectors 24 to 57 along the master roads. This decision follows the recent transfer of service road management from the municipal corporation to GMDA in September of this year.
GMDA officials have outlined an estimated budget of Rs 3.2 crore for the annual maintenance of these service roads and have opened the bidding process for interested contractors. Notably, the repair and maintenance project will cover approximately 100 km of the road network.
However, sectors 36 and 37 have been excluded from the scope of work, as GMDA has already been overseeing the service roads in these areas since 2018. The project primarily involves repair and patchwork to enhance the overall quality and durability of the service roads.
This initiative underscores GMDA’s commitment to ensuring the seamless functionality and upkeep of critical road infrastructure, contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of Gurugram’s urban landscape.
