The Haryana Cabinet meeting today resulted in several significant decisions aimed at state welfare. Key announcements include changes in administrative boundaries, youth employment initiatives, housing schemes, educational institution acquisitions, and land leases for social purposes.
Administrative Changes and Development Initiatives
The villages of Badanpur and Sundarpura in Jind district will now be included under Narwana Tehsil, moving from Uchana Tehsil. This administrative reorganization aims to streamline governance and development in these areas.
Youth Employment under IT Saksham Yojana-2024
The first phase of the IT Saksham Yuva Yojana-2024 will provide employment opportunities to 5,000 young individuals. This initiative is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance youth employment and skill development in the IT sector.
Affordable Housing Schemes
The Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme has been approved to provide affordable housing to economically weaker sections. Additionally, the government has decided to implement the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme on similar lines to address housing needs in rural areas.
Acquisition and Land Lease Approvals
The state government will acquire Amar Nath Bhagat Jayaram Girls College in Serdha village, Kaithal. Furthermore, a proposal to lease 7 acres, 4 kanals, and 7 marlas of land in Rangla village (Nuh) to the Matridhara Cow Protection and Promotion Trust for 20 years has been approved. This land will be used to establish a gaushala (cow shelter), supporting animal welfare and conservation.
Amendments in Sikh Gurudwara Management Regulations
The cabinet also approved amendments to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (Ward and Election Demarcation) Rules, 2023, and the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara (Management) Act, 2014. These amendments aim to improve the management and governance of Sikh gurdwaras in the state.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, these decisions underscore the Haryana government’s commitment to state development, youth employment, affordable housing, educational advancement, and religious institution management.
