NEET UG 2024: In a major development following a Supreme Court directive, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the NEET-UG results for a centre in Haryana. The revision comes after concerns were raised about inflated scores due to the awarding of grace marks. Initially, six candidates from the Hardayal Public School centre in Jhajjar had achieved a perfect score of 720 out of 720, sparking allegations of malpractice.
The revised results, released on Sunday, reveal that no candidate at the Haryana centre scored above 682. Only 13 candidates from the Hardayal Public School centre managed to secure more than 600 marks, as per the updated city and centre-wise results.
Supreme Court Intervention
The Supreme Court had ordered a retest after allegations surfaced about possible score inflation. The retest aimed to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process. The revised results highlight significant discrepancies, raising further questions about the integrity of the NEET-UG exam at this particular centre.
NTA Under Scrutiny
The NTA is currently facing scrutiny over alleged irregularities in the conduct of the 2024 NEET-UG exam, including claims of a paper leak.
