PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Mahendragarh, Haryana, as part of his campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. The event saw the presence of several prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Naib Saini, BJP leader Ram Bilas Sharma, former Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav, and Minister JP Dalal. This rally marks PM Modi’s third in Haryana, following previous rallies in Ambala and Sonipat.
PM Modi began his speech with a greeting in the local Haryanvi dialect, saying, “Ram-Ram bhai saare se,” and extended his wishes for Buddha Purnima to the nation. He paid homage to Guru Jayaram, Chaman Rishi, and Rao Tularam. Reflecting on his past, he remarked that Haryana had become like a second home to him, as he had learned much of his political acumen from Haryana and Punjab.
“I have worked here as an in-charge,” Modi said, recounting his time in the region. He reminisced about the hospitality he received, mentioning the home-cooked meals from local women and the sweets from Narnaul and Mahendragarh. He praised the state’s dairy products, highlighting their global recognition, and emphasized his commitment to elevating Haryana’s status further. He urged the audience to vote for him once again, underscoring the importance of the election in shaping the future of India.
Criticism of the INDIA Alliance
PM Modi took a sharp dig at the INDIA alliance, accusing them of being opportunistic. He used a metaphor, saying, “The cow hasn’t given milk, but they are ready to eat the ghee.” He mocked the alliance’s promise of having five Prime Ministers in five years, suggesting that Haryana residents would have already made numerous jokes about this. He claimed that the INDIA alliance’s credibility had already crumbled by the fifth phase of the elections.
Complaints About the Election Process
PM Modi further criticized the INDIA alliance for their complaints about the election process. He accused them of starting to “cry and complain” after the third phase, questioning the Election Commission’s procedures and the timing of results. He pointed out that the alliance was heavily criticizing electronic voting machines (EVMs). “In a land where nothing grows, would a farmer plant even a single seed?” Modi asked rhetorically, implying that if the INDIA alliance knew they were not going to win, they shouldn’t expect votes.
The rally underscored PM Modi’s strong stance against the opposition and his appeal to the people of Haryana to support his vision for the future of India.
