Widow Pension Scheme: The Haryana Government has introduced a comprehensive scheme aimed at providing financial security to poor girls, widows, and destitute women, particularly from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC). This scheme, part of the Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, is accessible through online applications on the Saral Haryana portal.

Haryana Pension to Widows and Destitute Women Scheme:

First launched in 1980-81, this scheme aims to provide social security and financial assistance to women who cannot sustain themselves. Over the years, the pension amount has been progressively increased, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting these vulnerable groups:

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this pension scheme, a woman must:

  1. Be 18 years or older.
  2. Be a domicile of Haryana and have resided in the state for at least one year at the time of application.
  3. Have an annual income of less than ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
  4. Fulfill one of the following conditions:

Application Process:

Applications can be submitted both online through the Saral Haryana portal and offline through E-Disha Centers or Atal Seva Kendras.

This scheme underscores the Haryana Government’s commitment to providing social security and ensuring no financial hurdles for the marriage or welfare of girls from poor and vulnerable families.
