The Office of the Relief Commissioner reports that 28 persons were hurt in the event on July 2. It stated that 19 of the total deaths had not yet been recognized. According to a senior government official, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, visited with the injured victims of the Hathras stampede on Wednesday.

There were 28 injuries and 121 fatalities from Tuesday’s rush at a religious group. “The chief minister held a meeting with officials in the circuit house and met the injured in district hospitals,” the official said.

A team led by the Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh and ADG Agra has been assembled to investigate the incident’s cause. According to the administration, the report is anticipated to be filed on Wednesday. On Wednesday, a plea was submitted to the Supreme Court requesting the formation of an expert committee consisting of five members, overseen by a retired high court judge, to investigate the Hathras stampede disaster that resulted in the deaths of 121 people.

Call for Legal Action Against Officials for Negligence

In addition to requesting a directive to the Uttar Pradesh government to produce a status report on the July 2 event and to take legal action against officials and others for their careless behavior, counsel Vishal Tiwari filed the motion. Additionally, the petition has asked for a directive to all state governments to report on the state of medical facilities available to address stampede occurrences at all levels, from the block/Tehsil to the district.

On July 2, bodies were strewn about a medical center in the Hathras region of Uttar Pradesh while people gathered around them, wiping away their tears and offering solace to one another. The spiritual preacher Suraj Pal, also known as “Bhole Baba” or “Narayan Sakar Hari,” comes from the Uttar Pradeshi village of Bahadur Nagar, which is in the Patiyali tehsil of the Kasganj district.
