Himachal News: The streets of Manali-Chandigarh Highway witnessed huge crowd waiting for the jam to clear after last night’s landslides. The agitated crowd is blaming the Civic Authorities for mismanagement. The officers were trying to clear the route since last night, but due to continuous rains, the work was being done in a slow speed. People can be seen standing for around 10 kilometres
Many vehicles washed away in Rains
The Beas river in the city is also flowing above the danger level. Because of the rains, the authorities had to shut the Kullu National Highway due to which the commuters had to face lot of issues to reach the destinations. The city has been witnessing continuous downpour since the last 24 hours due to which many vehicles also got washed away.
Highways shut till tomorrow
Himachal’s Capital city Shimla has also become a prey to the sudden downpour in the city leading to lots of damage. The authorities had to shut many Highways due to water and is expected to open by tomorrow. People are advised to stay inside if there is no urgency to step out of the house.
