Hyderabad: The family of a Hyderabadi intermediate student who allegedly killed himself has claimed that the student was brutally beaten by the college administration just before he passed away. The student is seen being thrashed by someone who is seen grabbing his hair in a video that the family has shown. The victim, Swastik, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after being beaten by a professor. According to reports, the 16-year-old hanged himself in a private classroom at Sri Chaitanya Kalasala Junior College, a residential school about 20 kilometres from Hyderabad.

The incident, according to Swastik’s parents, was the result of torture by the college administration. The police have since reported the incident by filing a FIR. Swastik was a first-year intermediate student at a prestigious private college in Narsingi, close to Hyderabad, where he was majoring in Physics, Chemistry, and Math. After the last class on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m., the incident reportedly took place.
Investigations underway to determine the cause of the student’s suicide
After Swastik passed away, his family and other family members protested and blocked the road in front of the college, calling for the college administration, whom they accuse of being responsible for the incident, to be held accountable. The police have now acknowledged the incident and are looking into it.
