‘I feel Indian’: Seema Haider
Seema Haider told NDTV that she is now Indian. She also vouched for accepting Hinduism and said, “My husband is Hindu, So I am Hindu. I feel I am Indian now.”
Seema and Haider’s love story
Seema and Haider’s poignant love story will make you forget cross-border Bollywood love stories. The couple fell in love while playing PubG and got married in March this year in Nepal in their first meeting itself. Speaking about her whirlwind romance with Sachin, Seema said, “It was such a long and grueling journey. I was very scared too. I first went from Karachi to Dubai, where we waited for 11 hours and couldn’t sleep. We then flew to Nepal, before finally taking the road to Pokhara, where I met Sachin.”
After tying the knot, she went back to Pakistan while Sachin came to India. Seema, back home in Pakistan, sold her land worth Pakistani Rs 12 Lakh, to book flight tickets and a Nepal visa for herself and her children.
She reached Nepal via Dubai in May and spent some time in Pokhara. She reached Greater Noida on May 13 with her children where Sachin shifted her to a rented flat without revealing her true identity.
However, they could not hide it for long and were arrested on July 4. While Seema was arrested for illegally entering India, Sachin was put behind bars for illegally sheltering Pakistani immigrants. They were granted bail on July 9.
