In a bizarre incident, Lord Hanuman gets notice for land encroachment from Indian Railways

Railways has been conducting Broad gauge work in Morena, Madhya Pradesh and the encroachment came to notice during this work. It was noticed that a temple stands on the land that Railways claim as Government land.

Railways department issues notice to Lord Hanuman

Railways department issued a notice to Lord Hanuman for alleged encroachment in a government land the notice states that if Hanuman temple is not removed from encroached land , the district authorities will take action to remove the structure. The notice states that the amount spent on demolition of structures built on encroached land will be recovered from Lord Hanuman.

Clarification

However, a Public Relation Officer, Manoj Kumar , North Central Railways , stated that notice was issued in Lord Hanuman’s name by mistake and a notice has been issued against the priest of the temple.
