It turned worse when CCTV footage surfaced, wherein the teacher had indulged in such activities with one of the girl students. A Kanpur Coaching viral video caught the identified teacher, Sahil Siddiqui, taking one student inside the bathroom during class time. In this footage, it was embraced by him and then kissed before taking that girl away. This startling act was big enough to create immediate action on the part of the local authorities, and shortly after that, Siddiqi was arrested due to his conduct displayed in that video.
It was a pure chance discovery on the part of Ashish Srivastava, the man running the coaching institute, who came upon the incriminating evidence on a pen drive. This was despite numerous complaints from the girl students about Siddiqui’s behavior over the period but nothing had been done due to lack of hard evidence. His subsequent investigation found a trend where Siddiqui would often focus on the girls and especially on those with a Hindu background, and this complicates the issue all the more.
