Lok Sabha Election 2024: In a fiery campaign rally in Udhampur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the opposition parties, particularly the Congress, over their stance on the Ram Mandir and Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. As the country gears up for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, PM Modi has hit the campaign trail, rallying his party’s supporters and challenging the rivals.
PM Modi Slams Congress Over Ram Mandir
During the rally, PM Modi dismissed the Congress’ claim that the Ram Mandir is an electoral issue for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He asserted that the struggle for the Ram Mandir predates the existence of the BJP, and that the people of India have always fought to protect their religious places from foreign invaders. He accused the Congress and its allies of turning a blind eye to the plight of Lord Ram’s devotees.
PM Modi’s Vision for Jammu and Kashmir
Turning his attention to Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi promised that the assembly elections will be held in the union territory soon. PM Modi also hinted that the current developments in Jammu and Kashmir are just a “trailer” and that he has a bigger plan to create a “new and wonderful picture” for the region. He urged the people to continue supporting him and the BJP, as they work towards a brighter future for the country.
PM Modi on Article 370
During his speech, PM Modi boldly challenged his political opponents, particularly the Congress, regarding the controversial matter of Article 370. He invited any party to openly state their desire to bring back Article 370, believing that the people of the nation would strongly oppose such a proposal. PM Modi portrayed the removal of Article 370 as a crucial step towards removing obstacles to development and unity. He highlighted how this decision has brought about significant positive changes, ushering in a new era of growth and advancement for Jammu and Kashmir.
