MP Elections 2023: A woman in Sehore, the district where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was born, found it expensive to vote for the BJP and celebrate the party’s win. When the woman voted for the BJP and celebrated its victory, her brother-in-law became so enraged that he beat her. The victimised woman then went to the Collectorate office to request justice and filed an application there. In response to the victim’s complaint, the Ahmedpur police station filed a case under sections 294, 323, and 506 of the IPC against her brother-in-law; however, the accused has not yet been taken into custody.
Background and Application Submission
In reality, Bablu Khan’s wife, Samina B, who lives in Barkheda Hasan village under the Sehore Assembly, had arrived at the Collectorate office accompanied by her elderly father. Here, she turned in her application and stated, “My kids and I were celebrating Lotus Flower’s victory on Monday, December 4, at about five o’clock in the evening.” My father Baheed Khan and brother-in-law Javed Khan questioned me at this time, asking why I had voted for the BJP. “I can vote wherever I want,” she declared. He began mistreating me like my mother and sister after this.
Verbal Disagreement Escalates to Physical Assault
She further said, “When I refused to abuse him, he started beating me, then his wife Uzma Bi handed Javed a bamboo stick. After this, he beat me badly with the stick. When I started screaming, he heard my voice. Pandit Vidya Sagar, who lives in the neighbourhood, came to the rescue. During the fight, Javed and Uzma started saying that if they don’t listen to us, they will kill you. My husband Bablu Khan had gone out at the time of the incident.”
