New Delhi: The perpetrator of the 16-year-old girl’s gruesome murder in Delhi, Sahil, was apprehended on Monday in Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh. Sahil, a mechanic by trade who fixes fridges and air conditioners, was shown on tape stabbing the woman more than 20 times before hitting her with a boulder. The initial inquiry revealed that Sakshi, the victim, and Sahil were dating and quarrelled a day before Sakshi was killed.
Social Media Posts Shed Light on Suspect’s Lifestyle
His friends can be seen smoking hookah and listening to Punjabi music in posts on the public account. The most recent post on the social media site was from six weeks ago and featured a group of youngsters smoking hookah while the song “Selfmade” by the late Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala plays in the background. Similar posts have been made by Sahil on Instagram before. The pictures show him smoking hookah with his companions as Punjabi music plays in the background.
Motive Unveiled in Delhi’s Rohini Murder Case
In Delhi’s Rohini neighbourhood, Sahil, the person responsible for the murder of 16-year-old Sakshi, was furious at the victim’s decision to break up with him. According to a preliminary investigation, he was enraged because the two had stopped talking, which eventually prompted him to viciously attack and kill her. Sahil was apprehended by the Delhi Police on Monday in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, after they tracked a call from his aunt to his father that led them to him. During their inquiry, the police looked through security camera footage and spoke with the victim’s relatives. After the incident, the accused, Sahil, turned off his phone and took a bus to his aunt’s home in Bulandshahr.
The Disagreement that Precipitated the Fatal Encounter
Sahil acknowledged having dated the victim since June 2021 when he was questioned. The victim had spent the previous 15 days lodging with a friend named Neetu. The day before the girl was killed, Sahil and the girl had a disagreement after they had ceased speaking to one another. She wanted to quit the relationship, but Sahil wanted to get back together with her. According to a senior police official reported by PTI, “She eventually stopped talking to him and wanted to end her relationship with him completely, but he kept approaching her and wanted to reunite with her.”
