Lucknow News: Good News for all those people who have been searching for better Medical Hospitals to get their transplant done, the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in the city will soon have a Multi Organ Transplant Center which is built over a budget of 18.22 crore. The move will help not only the people of Lucknow but also people who are living outside the city can benefit from the Transplant center. The first installment for the construction has already been passed. Apart from this, a 300 bed men’s hostel will also be built in the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences in Safai.
‘Out of 25000 patients, only 2000 patients receive Transplants’
The institute Director will supervise the construction activities of the Transplant Center. According to the Secretary general of the association of International doctors, over 25000 patients need liver transplants in the country, but out of this only 2000 are actually able to get one.
The Center will perform different Transplants
The Multi Organ Transplant Center will do transplant of Liver, kidney and bone marrow in the hospital. Patients from other states can also benefit from the hospital. Centre sent a proposal to the state government after which the clearance has been given to built this transplant center.
