Lucknow News: Education Scandal; UGC Uncovers 4 Fake Universities

Lucknow News: On Wednesday, the University Grants Commission published a list of 20 fictitious institutions that are operating unlawfully all throughout the nation and declared that their degrees would not be recognised. Four of these 20 fictitious universities are located in Uttar Pradesh. UGC claims that 20 universities across the nation are operated fraudulently, four of which are located in Uttar Pradesh‘s four largest metro areas. In addition to the capital city of Lucknow, fake universities are also operating in the cities of Kanpur, Aligarh, and Prayagraj.

UGC Identifies Fictitious Universities in Lucknow

The Indian Council of Education, Bharat Bhavan, Matiyari, Chinhat, and Lucknow’s Prayag, Allahabad (Prayagraj), National University of Electro Complex Homoeopathy, Kanpur, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University (Open University), Achaltal, and Lucknow have all been declared fake by the UGC. According to a statement from UGC, many institutes are issuing degrees in violation of the UGC Act. Such universities’ degrees are not genuine nor recognised for use in further education or the workforce. These institutions lack the authority to award any degrees.

UGC Exposes 8 Bogus Universities in the Capital City

The majority of bogus universities, according to UGC, are located in Delhi, the nation’s capital. In Delhi, there are eight universities that are awarding fraudulent degrees. ADR-Centric Juridical University, Commercial University Limited, Daryaganj, United Nations University, Professional University, All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences, Indian Institute of Science and Engineering, Vishwakarma Open University for Self-Employment, and Adhyatmik Vishwavidyalaya (Spiritual University) are a few of these.
