Lucknow News:As a gift of Independence Day, the UP Government has planned to provide water connection to over 9 cr families under the Har Ghar jal Yojana Scheme’. The Government Official said that the government aims to provide basic tap water to over 1.5 crore families living in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme more than half of the families of Rural villages will get the benefit of tap water in their houses. The official of the Rural water Supply said that over 9 crore villages have received the tap water facility under the Azadi ka Mahotsav scheme
Govt aims to provide Tap Water to 40000 Houses Per day
Over 1.9% rural villages were able to receive tap water facility under the Jal Jiwan Mission launched in the year 2019. Government wass able to provide 56% tap water connections in the last four years. This year under the Har Ghar Yojana scheme, the government aims to provide tap water to 40000 house per day.
More than one lakh families of Rural areas getting clean water today
Apart from this, more than one lakh families have started receiving the tap water facility. Government has able to provide clean water to more than 8 crore families in the villages. Government aims to cover each and every remote area of the state and ensure clean water should be provided to all.
