Lucknow News: Govt launches DTH Channels for children

Lucknow News: In a bid to develop children’s learning skills, the Uttar Pradesh Government has introduced Direct-to-Home Television channels to improve the learning skills of students and children studying in schools. This step is a part of the Government’s E-Vidya Program. The Channels will showcase subject-wise and class-wise educational videos for the students from class 1 to 12. There will be special videos also for the differently abled and Pre-Primary education children that will be uplinked along with the other videos.

There will be special videos for Differently Abled Kids

The few channels which are free of charge like DD Free Dish and Dish Tv will provide extra education to the students which will give supplementary education to the children in their own houses and in their own languages. The children will be able to study the subject in their own language also. The PM’s E-Vidya Program was introduced on May 17th and one of its main characteristics is the launch of the DTH TV channels under the one class one channel initiative.

Repeat Telecast of videos will be played throughout the day

The inauguration of the PM E-Vidya channels was informed by the Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training to the Direct institute of education and Training Principals , district schools and inspectors. The repeat telecast of the videos will be telecast throughout the day.
