Lucknow News: The Met Department has predicted heavy rains in the city for the next coming days, a red alert has also been issued for the city and the Neighbouring areas. The IMD had earlier issued high alert for various cities saying that thunderstorms are expected with heavy rainfall. Orange alert has been issued for Western Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, the state is expected to get heavy to very heavy rainfall. Eastern UP is likely to receive very heavy rainfall on August 4,5& 6th.
City battling with humidity for the last few Days
The classes for the junior kids is likely to take place online if the weather condition turns bad. The city has been witnessing humidity with heat for the last few weeks. The rain prediction will bring relief from the scorching heat for the residents.
Light Down Pour changed the Weather
Several districts like chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Sonbhadra and Varanasi may witness heavy rain activity in the coming days. People have been suffering from the oppressive heat for many days. The light downpour resulted in bringing down the temperature from 5 degree Celsius in both day and night temperatures. However heavy rains expected in Purvanchal on the coming Saturday and Sunday.
