Lucknow News: A lady constable of the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) of the Lucknow Commissionerate made the allegations in a video that has since gone popular on social media. Aparna Rajat Kaushik, DCP Central, said: “Taking cognizance of the video and seriousness of the matter, the investigation is being done by ADCP (centre) Manisha Singh.”

The woman made claims about her posting, job, and leave in the video. The constable said in her 2.30-minute video, in which she addressed the Commissioner of Police (CP), that numerous officers, including an ACP and an inspector, had abused her verbally and physically.

“This place is making me feel psychologically and physically uneasy. He dismissed me when I went to report to the circle officer, sir. Numerous officials are after me, including the dishonest Javed Akhtar. After being very frustrated, I’m sending this video,” she is heard saying in the video. “Despite being constables, nobody really pays us any attention. I kept trying to meet you, but I kept getting turned away. I work here, but I don’t have enough to do. I’m required to stay here till late at night as a penalty. CO Sir did not listen when I complained to him, either. I asked him for time off after my child was recently bitten by a dog, but he threw the document away and refused to provide it. I’m being encouraged to ponder suicide by this behaviour,” she continued.
