Lucknow News: The Power crisis in the city refuse to die down as the demand for the power supply has been increasing with each passing day. The demand has increased around 27 thousand MV due to the humid weather. Government claims they are able to meet the deadline of the Power supply but its affecting the Power Equipment. Due to the excessive load, the transformers are getting damage every day. Around 27 thousand transformers have been damaged till July 25th.

Many Transformers in the Sub Stations are also damaged

Most of the transformers are not performing well due to the excessive load. In the July month, around 10 thousand transformers connected to different Sub stations have been damaged. This situation leads to the Power theft in the area. The other reason could be that consumer is using low voltage stabilizer but he is consuming more power, if this would have been the case then it must have reflected in the bill.

Over 4 thousand over loaded Transformers aren’t working

The situation of the other cities connected to the Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited is also getting worse. There are around 4 thousand overloaded transformer cases registered here. A Proposal was also sent to the Power Minister in this regard, but the situation is still the same..
