A person from Madhya Pradesh has presented an example of how he remains alive even after death. After the death of a 34-year-old vegetable trader from Madhya Pradesh, the heart obtained from his organ was sent from Indore to Pune in a special army aircraft on Monday. This organ will be transplanted into the body of a soldier suffering from severe heart disease. Officials of ‘Indore Society for Organ Donation’ gave this information.
Officials said that Pradeep Aswani (34), who runs a vegetable business in Ujjain, was injured in a road accident on the night of January 20. Due to a serious head injury, he was admitted to a private hospital in Indore.
Doctor declared him brain dead
Aswani’s condition did not improve despite treatment and doctors declared him brain dead, officials said. He told that despite being immersed in grief, Aswani’s family agreed to his posthumous organ donation and after that the surgeons removed his heart, liver, both kidneys and eyes from the dead body of the 34-year-old businessman.
Commissioner (Revenue) of Indore Division Dr Pawan Kumar Sharma said that a team of doctors from the Army took the heart obtained from Aswani’s posthumous organ donation to Pune in a special plane, where it would be transplanted into a soldier’s body. Aswani’s elder sister Neelam Khushlani said, “It is a matter of great pride for our family that my late brother’s heart is going to be implanted in a soldier’s body. I feel that (after the heart transplant) my brother is a Will serve the country by staying alive as a soldier.”
Aswani Gave New Life
Sandipan Arya, a volunteer of Muskaan Group, a social organization associated with the Indore Society for Organ Donation, told that the two kidneys, liver and eyes received from Aswani’s posthumous organ donation will be transplanted to needy patients in local hospitals. Eyewitnesses told that after his death, the body of Aswani, who gave new life to five people from organ donation, was sent for the last journey with full respect from the special Jupiter Hospital of the city.
According to eyewitnesses, Madhya Pradesh Armed Police personnel saluted the late Aswani by blowing the bugle. During this, local Lok Sabha MP Shankar Lalwani and doctors and other personnel of the hospital were also present.
