In his statement, CM Yadav emphasized the importance of honoring Mukherjee’s legacy. “We all should remember the sacrifice day of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. As soon as the Constitution was implemented after independence, the then government implemented Article 370 and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee opposed it. He led the movement against it. The whole country will always remember his sacrifice,” said Yadav.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who was deeply committed to national unity, resigned from his ministerial position to spearhead a campaign against Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. His efforts and ultimate sacrifice remain a significant part of India’s history.
