Minimum temperatures in 20 cities across the state dipped below 15 degrees Celsius. Bhopal, the state capital, witnessed a night temperature of 14.9 degrees Celsius, marking a return to cooler nights after eight days. Meteorologists forecast the likelihood of partial clouds from Friday, accompanied by moisture-laden winds. Various cities, including Bhopal and Indore, could witness rainfall over the weekend.

A developing western disturbance between Afghanistan and Pakistan is influencing the weather, prompting a drop in minimum temperatures due to prevailing easterly and north-eastern winds in the upper atmosphere. Another western disturbance is expected to reach North India on Saturday, ushering in a combination of winds from opposite directions around Madhya Pradesh. This weather system is anticipated to bring clouds, driven by moisture from the Arabian Sea, resulting in potential rainfall across the state. Day temperatures may decrease during this period, while night temperatures could see a slight increase. The northerly winds following the passage of the Western Disturbance on November 27 might precipitate a rapid drop in minimum temperatures across the state.
